Bio

Miguel Osuna has been painting and drawing from an early age. He studied architecture in Mexico, and a year after graduating, moved to Los Angeles. He practiced architectural design in diverse industries through 2001. In 2002 he started painting full time while visiting Buenos Aires. Upon return, he engaged in an exploration of Los Angeles, his adopted hometown, through an extensive series of abstract landscape paintings that still continues. ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is the manifestation of a particular feeling in a particular moment in time. And it’s not that I think that whatever I feel is worth manifesting or showing to others, but I have a suspicion that others feel similar things and could possibly relate. And it’s in the relating that I think our humanity lies. I think that is important. So, there it is. It can be structured, blurry, orderly, blue, undulating or gold. It’s my work, it’s me.

Studio Beats

“In the mornings, there’s this really wonderful station that broadcasts from France. They play anything and everything. In the afternoon I have my vinyls. I like real classic and also I’m discovering these editions, mostly british Jazz musicians , Le Paradis, Black Pumas, Toro y Moi, Washed out, Arlo Parks, Duran Duran, Alchemist, Barry Manilow….I cannot work in silence.”
